August 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Part of The Big Conversation Series

Local author and historian J.N. Cheney will discuss the historical significance of the Little Falls Textile Strike of 1912-1913, an event that brought the Industrial Workers of the World and the Socialist Party to the Mohawk Valley. Cheney will discuss how the strike’s forgotten history signifies a need to study the “hidden radical kernels” of the Mohawk Valley. Cheney’s writings have been featured in publications such as New York Archives Magazine, Cosmonaut, and Democratic Left.
