Why Are We Made To Hate China?:
The Peoples’ Classroom returns to The Other Side in Utica with a special two-part presentation on an often completely misunderstood yet crucial nation in the world today, modern China.
We will examine the historical context as to how modern China was formed, major events, the reasons behind why the nation is framed the way it is by both the US government and the corporate media today and finally a look into what the future holds in this new Cold War.
Part 1 will go through the formation of communist China and cover the time period of Mao Zedong.
Part 2 will go through the time period of Deng Xiaoping and a thorough examination of the new Cold War today.
It is a presentation designed to challenge your preconceived notions and represent that all important working class perspective.
