Hamilton at The Other Side presents:
Rebuilding a Cinema Culture in Cambodia:
from Golden Age to Decimation to Emerging Art-House Cinema
a talk by Martine Guyot-Bender
professor of French and Francophone Studies

Today, a prudent social cinema is slower reclaiming its place in Cambodian cultural identity. Not an easy task in an environment where “freedom of expression is still fragile” Professor Guyot-Bender’s work was funded by the Center for Khmer Studies.
