Misty Macari is a pointillism artist based in Utica NY, known for her intricate animal portraits
created using the precise technique of stippling with a .5 mm pen. With each piece, she captures
the raw wildness and beauty of nature, focusing on the spirit of her subjects with detail and
appreciation for the untamed world around her.

Her work features animals, often framed with hands, symbolizing both connection to the
creatures she portrays and a deep reflection on humanity’s relationship with nature. Misty’s
intricate pieces invite viewers to pause and observe, drawing attention to the fine balance
between the wild and the human touch.

Misty’s work has been showcased annually at the Munson Williams Art Institute and has been
featured at the Gear Factory in Syracuse NY. She regularly participates in benefits and donation-
based events, using her art to support meaningful causes.
