Orin writes: Kim and I have been listening to a CD by our next Jazz @ TOS guest, Claire Daley which prompted Kim to say promoting this one’s going to be easy: she is really fun! To which I gladly add the woman’s got chops; she makes that big reed-horn, best known for R & B honking, purr, bellow, dip & swing. Whether she’s covering Monk or Motown or playing one of her own stellar compositions she makes that baritone glide like an alto. This is going to be fun, whether or not she graces us w/ one of her fetching vocals. So once again Orin can say: Be there or be square! |
