Big and Glassy Book Club

The group has elected to read Henry Miller’s controversial, 1934 fictive memoir, Tropic of Cancer. Banned from publication in America upon its initial release due to its “candid sexuality”, the book was the center of a major court ruling that set a precedent for the cause of free speech, particularly in the realm of literature. The meeting will be held over a potluck dinner. The meeting is open to the public, and reading the book or bringing a dish to pass is not required to attend.
