THE US CIVIL WAR & THE FAILURES OF RECONSTRUCTION: The Peoples’ Classroom returns to The Other Side in Utica with an critical presentation on the US Civil War and the ramifications for the failures of the Reconstruction Era with a keen focus on the all important connections to today. We will take a deep look into the root causes of the Civil War, the reasons why Reconstruction failed and an analysis of the monumental impacts of that failure which reverberate in our nation today. It is a presentation that is designed to help you better grapple with the present by more deeply understanding the past. And as always, we will be examining everything through the lens of the working class and oppressed people’s perspective. It’s one you do not want to miss.
