The People’s Readers’ Theatre presents ‘Red’

June 23 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

We will present John Logan’s Red, a short play about the relationship between the artist Rothko and his assistant. We will plan on holding a talkback afterward.

This is a budding, community-driven group in which the written text is artistically interpreted and briefly rehearsed with live actors. These texts include, but are not limited to: playscripts, poetry, narrative fiction and non-fiction. The hope is to gather an ever-widening and evolving circle of diverse, local writers, directors, readers and viewers who are interested in bringing the written word to life accessibly, via gender-fluid, age-fluid and ethnicity-fluid casting.
This recurring event  (including a talk-back following each presentation), will take place at The Other Side every other month.
This is a free event with a suggested donation.

“What is important to me is not the truth outside myself, but the truth within myself.” – Constantin Stanislavsky
