SUMMARY:Mindful Yoga Flow with Kelly Marraffa of Sprouting Anew (click for all upcoming dates)
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday October 7th from 6pm-7pm\nWednesday October 14th from 6pm-7pm\nWednesday October  28th from 6pm-7pm\n\n$15 – For reserving your spot and for more info visit https://sproutinganew.com/group-yoga\n\n\nJoin us for a yoga class that blends movement\, breath\, meditation & teachings to support you both on and off the mat.\n\nThis intentionally slower-paced class creates space to slow down\, tune in\, and practice with greater awareness. You’ll explore movement in a way that encourages you to listen to your body\, notice what you feel\, and develop a deeper sense of trust in your own intuition rather than focusing on perfecting poses.\n\nEach class balances opportunities to strengthen\, stretch\, unwind & rest. The practice is designed to support nervous system regulation\, mindfulness\, mobility\, and connection with yourself. You’ll be invited to explore rather than perform\, get curious rather than judge\, and\nmake the practice your own.\nAll levels of yoga experience are welcome\, including those with no experience at all.\n\n\n\nKelly was introduced to yoga through a fitness program in her late teens. From the beginning\, the practice offered her an opportunity to be present in a way she had never experienced before\, and she quickly discovered the positive impact yoga had on her mental health. She practiced on and off for several years\, always finding her way back to the mat. Over time\, her love of yoga grew beyond the physical practice of asana (poses) to include breathwork\, meditation\, and philosophy. She came to appreciate yoga as a vast and adaptable practice that can support us in different ways through every season of life. Her practice looks entirely different in her 30’s than it did when she began over a decade ago and she honors each phase of her practice. Kelly earned her 200-hour certification and began teaching in 2019 and quickly fell in love with creating yoga experiences that feel accessible\, approachable\, and meaningful. In 2025\, she completed an additional 300-hour certification\, and has taken part in several additional continued education opportunities. Her teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga can support whole-person well-being and meet each person exactly where they are. Your practice can and should evolve as you do.

SUMMARY:Farmers & Foodways
DESCRIPTION:Conversations with farmers exploring themes of seed\, soil\, labor\, and bringing it all to the table. \nWe eat food every day\, but we may not often think about what it takes for that food to reach our plates. In this series\, we will talk with farmers about their practices and perspectives on food production\, the cultural impacts agriculture has\, and what it means to be a farmer in this time and place. These conversations serve to encourage eaters to consider the complexity of farming practices beyond the binary of “good” and “bad.” The work that farmers do is so important — join us in celebrating it. \n\nThe first guest will be Nancy Grove from Old Path Farm. This conversation will take place at The Other Side at 7pm on Thursday October 15th. Short Q&A will follow. It’s free and open to the public – donations welcome.

Expect a blend of strengthening and restorative movements\, with plenty of options to meet your body exactly where it is that day (yes\, you can choose to hang out in a resting pose the whole time – there’s no judgement here :).\n\nWhether you’ve been practicing for years\, are stepping onto your mat for the first time\, or somewhere in between\, you’re welcome here.\n\nDonations are welcome and help support the continuation of our community events. Donations are shared between the teacher and the venue and can be made by cash or Venmo at the event.\n\n\nTeacher’s Bio (I include this in case you or Kim – who is cc’d in this – wants to include it on website or mailing list)\n\nKelly was introduced to yoga through a fitness program in her late teens.
