A number of years ago, Professor David Gapp found a late 19th-century whiskey bottle in an old trash heap on his property. Researching the history of the bottle, he uncovered a thread that connects the bottle to Hamilton College, the passage of the Pure Food and Drug act of 1905, and finally to a number of Hollywood movies. In his presentation, Professor Gapp will connect the dots in this intriguing series of connections.
